The Story (So Far)
Hello, my name is Calum and I am the Founder of Portobello Football Club - London’s newest and (hopefully) most creative football club!
Competing in the Middlesex County Football League, at the very bottom of the English football pyramid, we will be representing the world-famous Portobello Road and the local community in Notting Hill and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea!
I’ve been inspired by Evan Raimist from the Maryland Bobcats, a football club which compete in the USA’s third division - NISA, to share the background to this project, where we are currently at, and where we aim to be!
I’ve been working on this project for the past three years. With trials taking place tomorrow (6th June 2022), it feels like the right time to get this going! I am planning to post on a weekly basis, every Sunday. In the coming weeks I will write about identity and branding, our influences, our focus on creativity - and of course how preseason is going!
